Photo ID systems come in all shapes and sizes and can be tailored to suit requirements, according to functionality, budget, environment and other considerations. Step 3 - choose the output device
Once the card data has been assembled, it needs to be printed. Card printers print directly to plastic cards, while other printers, like inkjet or laser, will print to paper or special plastics, for visitor passes or for lamination and die cutting into cards.

Before you buy
If the card features a magnetic stripe or chip, consider a printer with a built-in encoder.
If the card will be heavily used or needs to last, choose a printer with built-in laminator.
If the card needs to last, polyester offers maximum durability.
