Databac Group, specialist provider of complete solutions for identification, has launched Dataimage Small Business Edition. The 32-bit Windows-based ID software puts high-quality card printing within reach of small businesses, enabling them to reap all the advantages of in-house card personalisation, including flexible design templates, security background printing, full database connectivity and automated card encoding.
Databac Group managing director Charles Balcomb said: "Dataimage fills the gap between the entry-level Dataimage Lite, which is free with the purchase of a card printer, and Dataimage Professional, for larger enterprises which need more advanced features like fingerprint verification. Priced at just £195 for a single-user licence, it removes economical barriers to sophisticated card personalisation."
Dataimage Small Business Edition features a user-friendly, customisable interface and operates with multiple databases, including Access and Excel. It boasts a host of image manipulation tools, allowing users to enhance ID photos, company logos and other images. Image capture is live via a USB camera or photos can be scanned and imported. Features include:
- 32-bit connect to a local Access or Excel database
- WYSIWYG card design module
- Automatic encoding of magstripe, contact and contactless chip cards,
including Mifare and iClass
- Step-by-step installation with user-friendly on-screen help menu
- Password protection
- Batch printing
- Single- or dual-sided printing
Note: For ODBC connectivity across the network, you will need to use the Professional version. An upgrade from the Small Business Edition to Professional is available at a specially discounted price.
The software also supports multiple card sizes and image formats and can print to any Windows printer.
Dataimage Small Business Edition offers an easy upgrade path to the fully-featured Dataimage Professional, Premium (mobile) and Visitor editions, from just £400.
Databac's popular Dataimage software suite includes such advanced features as mobile laptop capture and database replication, visitor tracking, automatic visitor logging, reporting and biometric verification.
Dataimage Small Business Edition is available immediately in English, Spanish, French and German.
