Visitors to the Databac Group stand no 302 at London's Biometrics 2007 exhibition will see how advanced biometric technology is perfectly compatible with ease of use, low maintenance and genuine affordability. On show will be the full range of Rimax Staff On Time palm, vein and fingerprint solutions for time and attendance and access control, aimed at enterprises of all sizes, from one to an unlimited number of users.

New features in the Rimax Staff On Time family include web-based access, secure backups via a special USB memory stick and TCP/IP connectivity.

Making its debut is Staff On Time Retail Bio-I, an entry-level time and attendance solution, aimed at retailers and businesses up to 2,100 employees. Comprising a futuristic, compact fingerprint reader, Bio-I operates with pre-assigned codes for user groups and activities like lunch breaks, client visits and doctor's appointments. Users log in and out by scanning their fingerprint and, if so programmed, keying their department code and activity code on a standard keyboard - simple, quick, effective and secure, and priced from just £99 RRP (€139), complete with software.

Also new at the show will be the Rimax Palm Scan 1:N, the first palm print reader that offers authentication of one to many, for up to 200 users. This highly-secure solution for access control and/or time and attendance authenticates palm prints in seconds, within the reader itself. Palm Scan 1:N boasts a zero false positive rate, contactless functionality and maintenance-free operation, and is ideal for housing developments, golf clubs, national heritage and other private, security-sensitive installations where a central database is not desirable.

The Rimax Palm Scan Outdoor will feature in a virtual presentation. The unit uniquely combines voice recognition, palm print verification and motion detection in a single, multi-layered solution that offers unparalleled levels of security. A televised display will show how Palm Scan Outdoor continues to function in adverse weather conditions and while submitted to severe vandalism.

Databac will also showcase TOUGH card, its family of high-spec, full-polyester cards. These can include Mifare, Legic, UHF and most other chip technologies, enabling users to store biometric templates for on-the-spot verification by card readers, independent of any central database.

Databac's ID software Dataimage will show how biometric templates can be encoded onto cards.
