Fargo Electronics, Inc, a global leader in secure technologies for card identity systems, has appointed Databac Group Ltd as International Dealer for the full range of its card printers and accessories. Databac, specialist provider of complete solutions for identification, is now able to be more competitive in its sales and support of Fargo products to its customers.
Following its acquisition by HID Global Corporation last year, Fargo is looking to enhance its international business. Fargo president David Sullivan said: "Databac has a solid history with Fargo that dates back nearly two decades. It has a proven track record as a reseller and as a manufacturer. This new appointment now empowers the company to be more effective in its distribution and support of the Fargo product range."

Databac has been reselling Fargo products since the late 1980s and many of its card products are compatible with the Fargo printer range. TOUGH card, Databac's flagship, all-polyester long-life card for direct printing, was tested on Fargo's High Definition Printer series throughout its development and now produces exceptional results in terms of print quality and multi-functionality, incorporating a number of possible reading technologies including contact and contactless chip.
Databac's own ID software Dataimage is optimised for Fargo printers, for professional card personalisation and encoding.
Both TOUGH card and Dataimage are seamlessly compatible with Fargo's new HDP5000. With its High Definition Printing technology, the HDP5000 is ideal for printing technology-rich cards such as TOUGH card, while Dataimage ID software offers a wide range of print management and encoding tools to help produce a superior card.
Databac Group is an approved Fargo service centre and all of its technicians are fully trained to support Fargo printers.
