Description

Dataimage Premium is the top-end edition of the Dataimage family. Its advanced features include database replication, an operator audit trail and a user-friendly database import/export wizard. Chips or magnetic stripes can be encoded immediately, while fingerprints can be encrypted onto the card for ultimate security.

Mobile card personalisation

Dataimage Premium also allows professional card personalisation and encoding on the go. In conjunction with a USB capture box, it turns a laptop PC into a mobile capture and printing station.

Premium allows one team to travel to a company's offices or branches to capture data and ID photos for secure, on-the-spot card issuance. This saves staff having to travel to central HQ and avoids the cumbersome task of collecting and entering passport photos and data. The database replication feature enables current data to be transferred back and forth between the server PC at headquarters and the laptop used for mobile capture.

How it works

To produce badges, all you need to do is choose the design, enter the data, capture the image and print.

  • Design
    Dataimage Premium's design module allows you to create your badge design, with imported company logos, security backgrounds and other graphics.
  • Data capture
    Personal data like name and address can be typed directly into the system or imported from any ODBC-compliant database.
  • Image capture
    A person's image can be captured live or imported from a variety of image formats. Dataimage Premium features extensive tools to enhance the image.
  • Encode
    Dataimage features an in-built capability to automatically encode magnetic stripes, contact and contactless chips and other card technologies.

Input devices

Dataimage Premium works with your choice of camera, including digital cameras, webcams and CCD cameras. For fingerprint scanning and encryption, you can use a number of scanners, including the FingerCheck ST2000 (see Input devices). Signature pads, facial scanners and palm readers can be connected to add further biometric data to the personal data file within Dataimage's powerful database.

Connectivity

Dataimage Premium links to back-end Windows and Unix databases, including SQL Server and Oracle, populating cards with existing data.

It can connect to any Windows-supported network, via dial-up modem, ADSL connection, LAN and WAN. The system can be set up so that the data is housed in a central location, with the mobile capture station sending data in real time.

Dataimage Premium can connect to barcode, magnetic stripe, proximity and other reading devices for image/record recall, as well as providing connectivity to third-party systems like access control, time and attendance, cashless vending and others.

Bespoke systems

Dataimage Premium can also be customised to suit individual requirements. From data entry, through back office connectivity, to the user interface itself, we can redesign Dataimage or even build a completely new system to customer specification. Extra features can be included, such as PKI network security and intranet connectivity.
