Description
Rich in functionality, Dataimage Professional offers an advanced solution for card personalisation and encoding, including biometric data. This 32-bit Windows-based software features a professional card design module and a robust database to house personal data.
Advanced design features
Cards can be produced in full colour, incorporating variable text, logos, photos, barcodes, signatures and fingerprints. Its flexible design capability allows text to appear in any True-Type font, in any size, in any colour, while images can be captured live or photos and logos scanned in and imported. Using standard and proprietary JPEG image compression formats, over 1.5 million records can be stored on a 10GB hard disk.
Dataimage is designed for maximum ease of use, without compromising flexibility. A customisable interface ensures that users can work in a format with which they feel comfortable. Minimal training is required and Databac will set up the software, including interface and badge design, so that the system is ready for use.
How it works
To produce badges, all users need to do is choose the design, enter the data, capture the image and print.
-
Design
Dataimage Professional's design module allows you to create your badge design, with imported company logos, security backgrounds and other graphics. -
Data capture
Personal data like name and address can be typed directly into the system or imported from any ODBC-compliant database. -
Image capture
The person's image can be captured live or imported from a variety of image formats. Dataimage Professional features extensive tools to enhance the image. -
Encode
Dataimage Professional features an in-built capability automatically to encode magnetic stripes, contact and contactless chips and other card technologies.
Using a digital camera, web cam, CCD or camcorder, a person's photo can be captured and frozen on screen. The object appears live on screen until the desired image is accepted and saved. Alternatively, photos can be scanned in and imported as JPEGs, BMPs, TIFs, PNGs, TGAs or PCXs.
Biometric data
Fingerprints can be captured and added to personal data files and can be used for later verification. They can even be encrypted and encoded onto a card for an additional level of authentication. Signatures can also be captured.
Flexible printing options
The software will print to any Windows-supported printer. Using a laser or inkjet printer, inserts can be printed and laminated to produce an ID card. Using a card printer, photos and data can be printed directly onto PVC, PET and other card substrates.
Connectivity
Dataimage Professional links to back-end Windows and Unix databases, including SQL and Oracle, populating cards with existing data.
It can connect to any Windows-supported network, via dial-up modem, ADSL connection, LAN and WAN. The system can be set up so that the data is housed in a central location, with viewing and/or capture stations in branch offices. It can connect to barcode, magnetic stripe, proximity and other reading devices for image/record recall, as well as providing connectivity to third-party systems like access control, time and attendance, cashless vending and others.
Bespoke systems
Dataimage Professional can also be customised to suit individual requirements. From data entry, through back office connectivity, to the user interface itself, we can redesign Dataimage or even build a completely new system to customer specification. Extra features can be included, such as PKI network security and intranet connectivity.
Operating systems
Dataimage Lite runs on Windows 98SE/2000/XP, Server 2003 & NT3.5/4, Vista or Windows 7.
