Manufacturing cards is what Databac was set up to do back in 1970, and what we continue to do today. Instead of the punched hole Hollerith cards of yesterday, we now manufacture a range of ISO-sized cards, key fobs, tags, wristbands, vehicle tags and labels, from a range of materials incorporating a choice of technologies.

Card manufacture

Our manufacturing plant is fully equipped for the manufacture, lamination, die cutting and encoding of cards and tags. It is set up for embedding and encapsulation of RF modules and antennae. We offer tape laying and Wiegand code embedding. A range of roll lamination lines and platen press equipment enable us to handle most kinds of plastics and other materials. Precision die cutters use sensors to ensure accuracy in cutting cards to CR80, CR79, CR50 and other card sizes. Technology cards are thoroughly tested before shipping to ensure 100% functionality in our clients' systems.

Secure, fast & reliable

As a manufacturer of security products, we are very security conscious ourselves. Databac's secure manufacturing facility is cleared for the production of cards by the MoD and the Stationery Office (formerly HMSO). Biometric access control and CCTV are in operation 24x7 while every order or enquiry is treated with the strictest confidence. Our employees are vetted and we operate a quality management system under ISO9002. While specialist manufacture is our forte, our turnaround times are fast, our delivery is reliable and our service is friendly.

Preprinting & holograms

Our facility also contains a professional printing outfit for pre-printing cards and documents. We use a variety of printing processes, including offset, digital, screen and gravure, to meet our clients' needs. Secure UV inks and OVDs can be used as additional security features, while holograms and signature panels can be applied withour hotstamp foiling equipment.

Card personalisation

Databac offers a complete card and tag personalisation bureau. Using our own software and the latest in card printing technology, we offer a fast turnaround service for full colour or monochrome personalisation, which include printing unique and generic graphics, photos and barcodes. For added security, we can include special UV inks and designs during the personalisation service. We can encode most RF technologies.

For those clients requiring fulfilment, we can match the card to a suitable carrier, such as paper or a folded card. These are placed into a suitable sized envelope for mailing worldwide - ideal for loyalty, libraries, transportation, conferences, trade shows and seminars.
