Description

Incorporating Suprema's sophisticated fingerprint recognition algorithm, BioStation offers a perfect solution for time attendance and access control.

Multimedia experience

With a colour LCD and high-quality sound, BioStation provides a different level of user interaction using multimedia information. It can display video, animation and photos to convey messages and information. BioStation's 16-bit hi-fi sound allows for background music, sound effects and voice instruction. It even has a microphone and speaker to act as a door phone.

BioStation works standalone or can be fully networked. Data access from a PC is easily achieved without any wiring via a wi-fi wireless LAN, while data transfer to a PC or other BioStations is simple using a USB memory device. It can be used with BioStar software or the reader can be configured to connect with third-party access control or time recording system using Wiegand, RS232/TCP-IP and other interfaces.

RF, fingerprint & PIN

Based on fingerprint, card and/or PIN, BioStation works with multiple RF cards in authentication mode, including 125KHz EM and HID proximity. Its optional template-on-card (Mifare 13.56MHz) authentication means that fingerprint data is stored on the smart card, for easy fingerprint management without any privacy concerns. A variety of fingerprint sensors are available depending on the application (optical, capacitive and swipe). Models include BioStation, BioStation wireless, BioStation RF, BioStation RF wireless, BioStation Mifare and BioStation HID.

BioStar software

BioStation comes with a free version of BioStar Windows-based management software. The software enables Suprema devices to perform comprehensive access control functions including user management, device management, door/zone control, real-time monitoring, etc. This is upgradeable to BioStar SE software with support for 512 devices and 32 concurrent clients, anti-pass back, email notification, tamper switch, server matching and an I/O board.
